Thursday deadline for registering 204 properties in Makkah, Eastern Province

The General Real Estate Authority has announced that the deadline for the initial real estate registration of 204 properties in Makkah and the Eastern Province will end on Thursday, 30 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to August 13, 2026.

The authority clarified that the deadline covers 142 properties in 12 neighborhoods in the Makkah region, including 10 neighborhoods in the city of Makkah and two in Jeddah, as well as 62 properties in a single neighborhood in the Eastern Province.

Included neighborhoods in Makkah and Jeddah

The authority stated that registration in Makkah city will end for the following neighborhoods: parts of Al-Furqan, Al-Maqam, Jaranah, Al-Fath, Al-Naqa Al-Jadeed, Al-Shuhada, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Naseem, Al-Khalidiya, and Al-Shawqiyyah. In Jeddah, it includes parts of Taiba and Al-Riyadh neighborhoods.

Registration process and its importance

The authority urged property owners in the listed neighborhoods to promptly register their properties through the Real Estate Registry platform (rer.sa) before the deadline, to benefit from services such as executing real estate transactions and documenting all changes to their properties.

The authority noted that the registry will issue a "property number" and a title deed for each registered unit, which will include the property's precise geographic location, owner information, property description, status, rights, and obligations, supporting the sustainability of the real estate sector.

Warning of fines

The authority stressed that failing to register properties within the specified period will expose owners to financial penalties in accordance with the Real Estate Registration Law, as determined by a specialized committee. It also noted that registration requests will remain available in the announced areas even after the deadline.

It is worth noting that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom through an integrated digital platform, utilizing geospatial data and modern technologies to enhance transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
