Saudi foreign minister holds talks with Italy and Spain on regional developments

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone calls with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, and Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares, to discuss recent developments in the region and condemn the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting southern Saudi Arabia. The calls also emphasized the importance of safeguarding maritime security.

During the conversations, the foreign minister and his Italian and Spanish counterparts reviewed regional developments in light of ongoing changes and discussed several issues of mutual interest.

The talks reiterated condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the Houthi militia targeting southern Saudi Arabia, stressing the rejection of such acts that threaten security and stability.

The calls also addressed the importance of maintaining the security and freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, highlighting their status as vital maritime corridors and the need to protect shipping from any threats.
