Eastern Province governor reaffirms support for people with hearing disabilities

Eastern Province Governor Saud bin Nayef received Mohammed bin Musleh Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Saudi Association for Hearing Disabilities, along with several board members, at his office today.

During the meeting, the governor emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment for people with disabilities, enabling them to meet their needs, and developing programs and services tailored to them. He highlighted the role of modern technologies and innovative solutions in enhancing their active participation in society and expanding opportunities to benefit from their abilities across various fields.

The governor was briefed by Al-Ajmi on the association’s key activities, programs, and initiatives aimed at serving people with hearing disabilities. The presentation covered the association’s efforts in rehabilitation and empowerment, improving service quality for beneficiaries, and awareness initiatives that promote social inclusion and improve quality of life.

The presentation also included the project to establish a branch of the association in the Eastern Province on its allocated land. The new branch aims to provide specialized services for people with hearing disabilities and their families throughout the region’s governorates, expanding the scope and efficiency of services and enhancing empowerment and independence for beneficiaries.

The Saudi Association for Hearing Disabilities is a national organization dedicated to supporting and empowering people with hearing disabilities. It implements rehabilitation and training programs, raises community awareness, and launches initiatives to foster inclusion. The association also builds partnerships with government, private, and nonprofit sectors to develop services and achieve sustainable impact in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman Mohammed bin Musleh Al-Ajmi expressed his gratitude to the governor for his ongoing support of the association’s work and programs, noting that this backing motivates further development of initiatives and services for people with hearing disabilities.
