Asir records highest life expectancy in Saudi Arabia, says health minister

Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel has stated that Asir region is witnessing continuous progress in healthcare, noting that it currently has the highest life expectancy in Saudi Arabia. He added that specialized healthcare projects in the region have helped reduce the number of medical referrals to specialist hospitals.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, Al-Jalajel said the ongoing healthcare initiatives in Asir are being implemented alongside major projects that have positively impacted the region's medical services.

The minister explained that these projects have contributed to lowering referral rates to specialist hospitals, while Asir has achieved the highest average life expectancy in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Asir Governor Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz reviewed healthcare services in the region, accompanied by Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel and Education Minister Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan.
