Madinah Date Season 2026 to open Monday at central market

Madinah is preparing to welcome visitors for the 2026 Madinah Date Season, which will open next Monday at the Madinah Central Dates Market and run until August 2.

Organizers said the season offers a comprehensive experience celebrating date culture, showcasing the quality of local products, and reflecting Madinah’s leading role in date production across the Kingdom.

Diverse events to highlight cultural heritage

Organizers noted that the season combines economic, cultural, and heritage aspects by highlighting Madinah’s identity linked to palm trees and dates, introducing local traditions, and providing platforms to display dates and related products. These efforts aim to boost marketing opportunities and support producers and farmers.

They added that the season will feature daily date auctions, stalls for palm products, and activities showcasing handicrafts made from palm fronds, reflecting the authenticity of Madinah’s heritage and its ongoing presence as part of the region’s cultural and economic identity.
