Saudi platform launches 49 economic and development projects for public consultation

The unified electronic platform for public and government feedback, Estitlaa, operated by the Saudi Center for Competitiveness and Business, has launched 49 projects related to economic and development affairs. The initiative, in cooperation with 19 government entities, aims to enable stakeholders to submit their views and suggestions before the projects are approved.

Among the projects is a proposal to amend Article 13 of the Executive Regulations of the Telecommunications and Information Technology Law, put forward by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The amendment seeks to clarify provisions regarding the requirement for prior approval from the authority when making significant changes to the senior management of licensees or registrants. The consultation on this project will close on August 18, 2026.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has also introduced a project to update the conditions and requirements for the clearance of re-imported products. The aim is to specify the necessary criteria for clearing Saudi-origin products that are re-imported into the Kingdom after being exported. Feedback on this project will be accepted until August 22, 2026.

To coordinate and integrate efforts among relevant health authorities and ensure comprehensive and effective healthcare and rehabilitation services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, the Saudi Health Council has launched a project for a National Policy on Health Services for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The consultation period for this project also ends on August 22, 2026.

The launch of these regulations and related projects through the Estitlaa platform underscores efforts to enhance transparency in the legislative environment, promote a culture of public consultation among citizens, government bodies, and the private sector, and involve them in shaping projects related to the business environment.
