Romanian RO FARM debuts with over 120 falcons at international auction

Romania’s RO FARM is participating for the first time in the International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction, presenting more than 120 falcons and offering a wide range of options for falconers and enthusiasts.

Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Murri, owner of RO FARM, said the auction’s strong reputation in recent years was the main motivation for joining, noting his ongoing interest in its development and the economic benefits it brings to participants.

He explained that he was keen for the farm’s debut to be impressive and worthy of the event’s status, having closely followed the National Center for Falcons and its unique initiatives to support the falconry sector.

Al-Murri added that the farm has previously competed in beauty and speed contests at the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival, achieving high rankings, including third and fourth place. He praised the high level of professionalism in organizing specialized events, as well as the procedures for transporting and caring for falcons during the auction.

The 2026 International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction opened at the National Center for Falcons in Malham, north of Riyadh, with leading local and international falcon breeding farms participating. The event runs for 21 days until August 25.

This year’s auction features all "chick" category rounds in the speed contests reserved for falcons sold through the event, directly linking auctioned birds to the competitions and allowing falconers to select birds from both local and international breeders for participation.
