Saudi foreign minister urges global rejection of Houthi actions, stresses Yemen stability

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan condemned Houthi attacks and their threats to security, urging the international community to reject the Houthis' actions.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, the foreign minister emphasized the need for stability in Yemen and the protection of civilians.

On Iraq, the minister said Saudi Arabia supports the Iraqi government’s efforts to ensure that weapons remain under state control, stressing that safeguarding energy supplies is a shared responsibility that requires international cooperation.

Regarding Syria, the foreign minister welcomed the announcement removing Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s rejection of any violations that undermine Syria’s stability.

He also added that a solution in Sudan must respect the sovereignty of the country’s institutions.
