Saudi foreign minister urges global rejection of Houthi actions, calls for Yemen stability

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan condemned Houthi attacks and their threats to security, calling on the international community to reject Houthi practices.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, the foreign minister emphasized the need for stability in Yemen and the protection of civilians.

On Iraq, he stated that Saudi Arabia supports the Iraqi government’s efforts to ensure that arms remain under state control, stressing that ensuring energy supply stability is a shared responsibility requiring international cooperation.

Regarding Syria, the minister welcomed the announcement removing Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s rejection of any violations undermining Syria’s stability.

He also added that any solution in Sudan must respect the sovereignty of the country’s institutions.
