Wiqaya launches rabies vaccination drive for pets in Sakaka and Tabarjal

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Wiqaya) launched a campaign yesterday to vaccinate pets against rabies in Sakaka and Tabarjal. The campaign will run until Thursday, July 23, 2026, as part of the center’s ongoing initiatives across various regions of the Kingdom.

The campaign aims to strengthen rabies prevention efforts and curb its spread, while supporting the center’s mission to improve animal health, safeguard livestock, and protect public health.

According to the center, pet owners and beneficiaries can visit designated veterinary clinic sites daily during the campaign, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wiqaya urged pet owners to take advantage of the free vaccination service and adhere to the scheduled times.

Wiqaya also emphasized that the campaign is part of its preventive and awareness programs designed to promote health awareness and reinforce preventive practices, supporting the well-being of both people and animals throughout the Kingdom.
