Over 11,000 students enroll in Mawhiba classrooms for new academic year

More than 11,000 students have enrolled in the "Mawhiba Classrooms" program, implemented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with leading schools, at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. Additionally, over 5,200 students have joined the Mawhiba Advanced Science and Mathematics Program, as part of the foundation’s efforts to nurture gifted students and develop their abilities across the Kingdom.

The "Mawhiba Classrooms" program is delivered in more than 240 schools across 23 cities, in cooperation with specialized educational and pedagogical organizations. The program targets public and private schools that meet specific standards in infrastructure, teaching methods, assessment, and learning approaches.

The program aims to provide care and support for students in specially designed classrooms, where highly qualified teachers focus on developing students’ creative skills through additional Mawhiba curricula.

Specialized curricula to develop skills

The supplementary Mawhiba curricula emphasize critical thinking and personal development, in addition to instilling positive values and equipping students with in-depth knowledge and problem-solving skills. The program also seeks to boost self-confidence and teamwork, helping students enhance their abilities and offering greater opportunities for academic excellence.

The first edition of "Mawhiba Classrooms" was launched in 2009 with 185 students in 28 schools across four cities. Numbers have grown steadily, reaching 9,900 students in 190 schools across 17 cities last year, and now surpassing 11,000 students in over 240 schools in 23 cities this year.

Advanced Science and Mathematics Program

Similarly, more than 5,200 students have begun their educational journey in the Mawhiba Advanced Science and Mathematics Program for the current academic year. The program is delivered remotely through advanced digital platforms across various regions.

The advanced program runs for 20 weeks outside regular school hours and offers additional Mawhiba enrichment curricula under the supervision of distinguished teachers, aiming to expand access to advanced educational opportunities.

Virtual orientation sessions

Coinciding with the start of the academic year, Mawhiba launched a series of four virtual orientation sessions from August 17 to 26. These sessions targeted partnership coordinators, new teachers, and parents, introducing them to implementation mechanisms and educational opportunities, and highlighting the complementary roles of schools and families in supporting students and maximizing their educational experience.
