Jeddah education chief urges unified efforts to boost student achievement

Manal bint Mubarak Allahyabi, Director General of Education in Jeddah, emphasized the importance of unified efforts across the educational community to meet future demands by raising students’ academic achievement. She stressed the need to create a learning environment that aligns with the leadership’s aspirations and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop human potential.

In a statement marking the start of the new academic year 1448H, Allahyabi said the administration had monitored student and teacher attendance and departure, the commencement of classes, and the readiness of classrooms and school facilities. She added that preparations to welcome students were closely followed to ensure educational stability from day one.

She noted that the beginning of the school year represents a renewed opportunity to continue the journey of educational excellence. Allahyabi underscored the importance of collaboration among educational leaders, departments, schools, and teachers to achieve educational targets, improve learning outcomes, and provide an attractive and stimulating environment for learning and creativity.

Enhancing performance quality and ensuring school readiness

She highlighted the importance of maximizing learning time, monitoring performance and progress indicators, and utilizing data to inform decisions and development interventions. These measures, she said, help improve educational practices and enhance performance quality in the field.

Allahyabi noted that the Jeddah General Directorate of Education has completed preparations to receive around 700,000 students across 2,862 public, private, international, and foreign schools in Jeddah, Rabigh, Khulais, and Al-Kamil, aiming to ensure a smooth educational process and high school readiness.
