Saeed Al-Shahrani, spokesperson for the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), said Saudi Arabia is advancing toward a data-driven, innovation-based economy. He noted that the recent International Monetary Fund (IMF) report reflects the strong support provided by the Kingdom's leadership for data and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Shahrani added that SDAIA serves as the national authority for data and artificial intelligence, leading the AI strategy and enabling government entities to adopt its applications, which has contributed to developing an integrated ecosystem.

A recent IMF report, issued at the conclusion of the Article IV consultations with Saudi Arabia for 2026, praised the Kingdom's global leadership in adopting artificial intelligence across various sectors. The report indicated that this adoption is expected to boost Saudi Arabia's GDP growth rate by up to 6% in the coming period.
