King Salman’s Umrah guests visit Kaaba Kiswa Complex and Revelation Exhibition

The third group of guests from the King Salman Program for Umrah and Visit, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for the year 1448 AH (2024), today visited the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Manufacturing of the Kaaba Kiswa in Makkah. The visit was part of a cultural and educational program designed by the ministry to enrich the guests’ experience during their stay in the city.

The guests began their tour at the King Abdulaziz Complex, where they observed the intricate stages of producing the Kaaba’s kiswa, from preparing the fabric and designing, through embroidery and weaving, to the final assembly. They learned about the raw materials used, witnessed the craftsmanship of specialized Saudi staff, and participated in a symbolic experience of weaving part of the kiswa.

Around 250 male and female pilgrims from the King Salman Program also visited the Revelation Exhibition in the Hira Cultural District of Makkah. There, they explored exhibits recounting the stories of the prophets and key moments from the Prophet Muhammad’s life, as well as an interactive display using advanced digital technology to illustrate the descent of revelation in the Cave of Hira, providing them with a rich educational and spiritual experience.

The third group of guests in the King Salman Program for Umrah and Visit represents 23 African countries: Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Chad, Tanzania, Djibouti, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Angola, and Mali.
