Civil Defense issues early warning in Najran over potential threat

Saudi Civil Defense has issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for emergencies in Najran, warning citizens and residents of a potential threat and urging everyone to follow official safety instructions to ensure their safety.

Civil Defense emphasized the importance of remaining calm and immediately moving to the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and staying there until the threat has passed. People were also advised not to leave their homes or buildings until the emergency situation is officially declared over.

Safety guidelines during the alert

The Civil Defense called on the public to avoid open areas and glass surfaces, and not to stand on balconies or rooftops. Those outdoors were urged to enter the nearest building or take shelter behind a solid barrier.

In addition, Civil Defense advised against gathering or taking photos at the scene, and to stay away from dangerous locations when a warning message is received. Drivers who receive the alert while on the road were instructed to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.
