Makkah schools fully prepared for new academic year

The General Directorate of Education in the Makkah region has confirmed that schools and educational facilities are fully prepared to welcome students as the new 1448H academic year begins. Comprehensive field and organizational preparations have been implemented to ensure a smooth start and provide a safe, stimulating learning environment.

Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghanam, Director General of Education in the region, emphasized the importance of raising readiness and full preparation for the start of classes, contributing to an effective educational launch and creating an attractive school environment for all students.

During a meeting with school principals in the region, Al-Ghanam reviewed key arrangements for welcoming students and equipping schools with all necessary educational and organizational requirements. He stressed the need for cooperation between educational departments and school leadership teams.

He added that schools play a pivotal role in achieving educational goals, highlighting the importance of principals in leading the field, motivating teaching and administrative staff, and building effective partnerships with families to support students’ educational journeys and enhance learning outcomes.

Figures and expectations for the new school year

More than 500,000 students are expected to attend 2,455 schools under the General Directorate of Education in Makkah at the start of the 1448H academic year, reflecting the high level of readiness across schools and educational facilities.
