Energy and oil expert Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabban stated that demands preventing Saudi Arabia from utilizing its uranium resources and advancing its capabilities in this sector are illogical.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya channel, Al-Sabban added that Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman’s remarks at the International Atomic Energy Agency conference were comprehensive and clarified the Kingdom’s position on various energy sources, especially peaceful nuclear energy.

He noted that when Saudi Arabia sought cooperation with the United States in the field of nuclear energy, misconceptions emerged that nearly hindered collaboration between Riyadh and Washington in this area.

Al-Sabban further explained that the Kingdom distinguishes between political and technical demands, and with 5% of the world’s uranium reserves, it is unreasonable to export raw uranium only to have it enriched abroad.
