Najran University wins first place at 2025 International Student Research Competition

Najran University, represented by its College of Engineering, secured first place at the 2025 International Student Research Competition, held as part of the Second International Conference on Resilient Futures and hosted by Jos University in Nigeria.

The College of Engineering students won the award for their research project titled "Transforming King Fahd Mosque in Najran into a Green and Sustainable Mosque." The project focused on applying green architecture and sustainability principles to enhance the mosque's development and resource efficiency.

The project supervisors stated that the research demonstrates Najran University students' ability to deliver solutions tailored to the local environment while aligning with global trends in sustainable architecture.

Conference organizers also praised the students' efforts and highlighted the project's excellence in linking scientific innovation with environmental and community needs.
