Saudi ministry awards SR1.5 million to King Abdulaziz Quran contest participants

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through the competition’s General Secretariat, has begun distributing a reward of 5,000 riyals (SAR) to each participant in the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, with a total of 1.5 million riyals.

According to the ministry’s account on the X platform, the 46th edition saw the participation of 334 contestants from 133 countries across various continents, competing in five Quranic categories. The total value of the competition’s prizes reached 10,260,000 riyals, with the number of winners rising to 50.

These rewards reflect the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance’s commitment, as the main supervisor of Quranic competitions, to caring for all participants. The ministry ensures comprehensive support and attention from the moment contestants arrive in the Kingdom, throughout the preliminary and final rounds, and during accompanying programs. This highlights the strong backing the competition receives and underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to the Holy Quran and its scholars.
