Ten firms caught offering recruitment and labor services without license

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the detection of 10 general service offices for illegally engaging in recruitment activities and providing labor services.

The ministry stated on its X platform account that the violations included operating recruitment and labor service activities without a license, as well as unauthorized advertising for such services.

The ministry emphasized that practicing recruitment or providing labor services without a license is a serious violation, with fines set at 200,000 riyals (SAR) for a first offense, 220,000 riyals for a second, and 250,000 riyals for a third, according to the schedule of violations and penalties approved by ministerial decision No. (112377) dated 21/8/1447 AH.

The ministry confirmed that the Musaned platform, the unified recruitment portal, enables users to complete procedures for hiring domestic workers and transferring their services, review worker profiles and licensed recruitment offices and companies, and make payments through approved electronic channels. This links payments to documented contracts and requests, enhances transparency, protects the rights of all parties, and limits dealings with unauthorized intermediaries.

The ministry urged citizens and residents to conduct all domestic labor-related transactions through the Musaned platform, including contracting, service transfers, and payments, and to verify the licenses of recruitment offices and companies before dealing with them. It warned against engaging with unlicensed establishments or intermediaries, and encouraged reporting any unauthorized entities or violations via the unified Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development hotline (19911) or through the ministry’s app available on smart devices.
