Saudi Food and Drug Authority urges buying animal feed from trusted sources

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has emphasized that feed safety begins with choosing products from trusted sources and storing them properly, highlighting the need to follow guidelines to ensure animal health, in conjunction with World Animal Day.

In a statement on X, the authority underscored the importance of purchasing feed only from licensed outlets and verifying the product label, which should include the animal type, ingredients, intended use, expiration date, and storage instructions.

The authority added that feed should be stored off the ground and away from pesticides and cleaning agents, while adhering to the temperature and humidity levels indicated on the packaging to maintain its safety.
