Umm Al-Qura University to host 26th Hajj and Umrah research forum

Under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Umm Al-Qura University will launch the 26th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit Research tomorrow under the theme "Excellence and Integration in the Hajj and Umrah Services System" at its campus in Makkah.

The two-day forum is part of strategic efforts to enhance the Hajj, Umrah, and visit ecosystem. It serves as a scientific platform bringing together researchers, experts, decision-makers, and service providers to discuss the latest studies and innovative proposals, exchange expertise, and showcase best local and global practices aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The forum aims to strengthen institutional integration among stakeholders in the Hajj and Umrah sector, unify efforts, improve coordination, and build effective partnerships. It also seeks to raise the quality of services for pilgrims, support evidence-based proactive decision-making, provide a collaborative scientific platform, encourage research and development, attract unique ideas to address field challenges, and empower researchers and innovators to offer creative solutions for the sector's advancement.
Key topics at the forum include the impact of integration and coordination on the experience of pilgrims, models of collaboration among sector stakeholders, measuring operational efficiency in the holy sites, data governance and information sharing, as well as business continuity and emergency planning.
The event will feature scientific sessions and specialized workshops highlighting the latest practices and research in crowd management, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics, and innovation. It will also include an accompanying exhibition and "Hajjathon 4," all aimed at fostering knowledge exchange, supporting innovation, and promoting quality solutions in the sector.
The forum reflects Umm Al-Qura University's commitment, through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, to advancing scientific research and encouraging scholars to contribute to the development of services for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, while promoting integration and excellence in the Hajj and Umrah services system.
