Transport General Authority forms committees to review land transport violations, appeals

Fawaz bin Zanaaf Al-Sahli, President of the Transport General Authority, has issued a decision to form five specialized committees to review appeals and violations related to the Land Transport Law and its executive regulations, with specific mandates for each committee.

The decision includes the formation of a committee to consider appeals against violations of the Land Transport Law, a committee to review violations of the executive regulations for taxi activities and ride-hailing services, a committee for violations by foreign trucks, a committee for violations in light freight and delivery activities, and a committee for other transport-related violations.

Each committee is tasked with reviewing violations within its scope and imposing penalties as stipulated by the Land Transport Law, while the appeals committee will handle grievances submitted regarding violations of the law.

The decision states that the committees will operate according to the rules governing the review of appeals and violations under the Land Transport Law, and will remain in effect for three years from the date of issuance.
