Saudi selection for Nuclear Science Olympiad began three years ago

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, he explained that students were chosen after qualifying in the chemistry and physics tracks, due to the need for a scientific background in these two fields. They were then trained theoretically and practically for three months, from last May, in preparation for competing with students from 19 countries hosted by the Kingdom.
Royal approval was issued for the Kingdom to host the third edition of the International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO 2026) in Jeddah. The event will bring together around 120 students and scientific specialists from 19 countries, and will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Mawhiba, and King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy. King Abdulaziz University will host the Olympiad from August 2 to 9, 2026.
