Abdulaziz bin Saud launches unified platform and industrial security operations center in Riyadh

Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security, on Tuesday inaugurated the unified platform and the 'Muraqab' operations center of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security during his visit to the authority's headquarters in Riyadh.

During the visit, the minister received a briefing from Governor Ali bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, who explained that the unified platform offers 123 automated services and collaborates with more than 30 entities and organizations. The platform aims to unify digital services and operational procedures, enhance service quality and efficiency, support digital transformation, and strengthen readiness and governance, all to better protect vital facilities in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Integrated national operations center

The minister reviewed the operations center system and its components, which include a crisis management room, a communications center, and the National Industrial Critical Communications Network. Al-Zahrani noted that the center serves as a comprehensive national platform overseeing more than 73 operations centers across the Kingdom, enabling real-time information and incident sharing, and providing a unified operational picture. This supports coordination among relevant agencies, speeds up emergency response, aids decision-making, and enhances readiness and business continuity.

Documenting industrial security progress

Abdulaziz bin Saud also viewed the authority's institutional archive, which documents the origins and development of industrial security in Saudi Arabia. He also reviewed the media center's activities and its role in highlighting the authority's efforts and strengthening communication with stakeholders.

The inauguration was attended by Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Acting Deputy Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the authority's board, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations and executive committee member Mohammed bin Muhanna Al-Muhanna, and Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research Major General Khaled bin Ibrahim Al-Arowan.
