Education minister: Over 240,000 educators to receive training

Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan announced that the ministry aims to train more than 240,000 members of the teaching staff.

Speaking at a government press conference, Al-Benyan said teachers are a cornerstone of education and that a major professional development plan is in place for educators. He explained that this is one of the largest initiatives in the education sector, with the targeted number to be trained through the Human Capability Development Program. Last year, 60,000 male and female teachers received training, with the goal being professional development for all education staff across various stages.

The minister added that the core principles of the education system include upholding religious values, national identity, pride in Saudi Arabia's history and symbols, and mastery of the Arabic language. He noted that early childhood enrollment currently stands at over 35 percent, which is considered a key foundation of education, and the target is to reach 90 percent by the end of 2030.
