Saudi authorities arrest man in Jazan for transporting border violator

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan arrested a Saudi citizen for transporting a Yemeni national who was violating border security regulations. Both individuals were detained, legal procedures were initiated against them, and the violator was referred to the relevant authorities, while the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stressed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides them shelter, or offers any form of assistance or service, faces penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals (SAR), confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used, and public naming.

He added that this offense is considered a major crime warranting detention and is regarded as dishonorable and a breach of trust. Authorities urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions. All reports will be handled confidentially, and informants will not be held liable.
