Muslim World League condemns Houthi attacks on Mecca and Medina

The Muslim World League has strongly condemned the attacks launched by the Houthi militia on Mecca and Medina, as well as its continued assaults on the Kingdom and threats to the security of Muslims and their holy sites.

In a statement, the League's General Secretariat said that Secretary-General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the militia's terrorist tactics and its attacks on holy sites, mosques, schools, and civilian facilities, describing them as blatant violations of Islamic values and humanitarian principles.

Al-Issa added that such actions contradict divine sanctities and endanger the lives and sacred sites of Muslims, stressing that these acts do not serve God or His Messenger, but rather constitute a betrayal of Islam and Muslims.

The Secretary-General called on Islamic countries and the international community to condemn the targeting of Mecca and Medina, urging a unified stance to deter terrorism and protect holy sites.

Solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia

The Muslim World League, on behalf of its global assemblies, bodies, and councils, as well as all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect holy sites and the lives of Muslims.

The statement concluded with a prayer for God to grant victory to the Kingdom over aggressors and to safeguard Saudi Arabia, Muslim countries, and their holy sites from all harm.
