Prince Sattam University prepares for new academic year with advanced tech upgrades

Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj has finalized early preparations to welcome students for the new academic year starting next Sunday, after completing readiness of classrooms, laboratories, and workshops, and upgrading its academic and technological facilities.

The university stated that preparations included checking technical equipment, computers, display and audio systems, networks, and internet connectivity, as well as ensuring the efficiency of air conditioning, lighting, furniture safety, security and safety requirements, and comprehensive accessibility for all students.

Integrated educational system

The university features 174 laboratories—137 on the main campus and 37 at branch campuses—along with 81 computer labs, distributed between 34 on the main campus and 47 at branches, reflecting the scale of educational and technological infrastructure supporting various academic programs and practical applications.

The university also noted that educational devices and software were tested, network and digital service stability was verified, and facility usage was organized through electronic services for managing and booking classrooms.

Ensuring educational quality and operational efficiency

The university’s readiness process relied on initial inspection and operational testing, followed by addressing observations and re-inspection, to ensure rapid response to any malfunctions that could affect student safety or disrupt the educational process.

Monitoring indicators included the readiness of classrooms, labs, equipment, and networks, completion of safety inspections, prompt handling of observations, as well as ongoing preventive maintenance, regular inspections, and provision of backup devices and supplies.
