Four arrested in Jazan for smuggling 80 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested four individuals of Ethiopian and Yemeni nationality for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 80 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

In a statement on its official X account, the Border Guard said initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects and seized materials have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at (995) or by email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
