King Abdulaziz mosque to be built in north Riyadh, deputy governor says

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of Riyadh region, has praised the leadership’s decision to name a new mosque in north Riyadh after King Abdulaziz. The directive was issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The deputy governor explained that the mosque will be built on an 88,000-square-meter site along King Abdulaziz Road. He emphasized that this initiative reflects the leadership’s loyalty to the legacy of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman and the achievements realized in the Kingdom since its unification.

He added that the Kingdom’s history is a source of pride for its depth, civilization, and unity, and that naming the mosque after King Abdulaziz demonstrates the leadership’s appreciation for his efforts in supporting mosques since the nation’s founding.
