Pakistan’s prime minister departs Madinah after visiting Prophet’s Mosque

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, departed Madinah on Tuesday, August 8, 2026, after visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, performing prayers there, and paying his respects at the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad and his two companions.

At Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, he was seen off by Madinah Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Madinah Mayor Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Buliheshi.

Also present at the farewell were Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, Madinah Police Chief Maj. Gen. Yousef Abdullah Al-Zahrani, Director of the Royal Protocol Office in the region Ibrahim bin Abdullah Bari, and several other officials.
