Dammam technical college trains students on AI-powered devices

Abdullah Al-Tuwaiyel, professor of automotive and engine technology at Dammam Technical College, said students are being trained on modern devices.

Speaking in an interview aired on Al Ekhbariya TV, he explained that the aim is to enable students to work in artificial intelligence without human intervention, reducing manufacturing errors.

Al-Tuwaiyel added that the focus is on preparing trainees for the job market through predictive maintenance and addressing errors before they occur, allowing them time to learn about artificial intelligence applications.

He continued that the college uses devices based on 3D engineering design and data processing, which help minimize manufacturing errors. Trainees are taught to identify potential issues in advance, reducing costs and improving safety.

This comes as part of efforts by relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to link education and training with labor market needs, and to raise trainees’ skills to internationally competitive levels in various fields.
