The National Center for Meteorology, in its report on Monday, forecast thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong winds over parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the southern highlands of the Makkah region.

The report added that hot to extremely hot conditions will persist in the Eastern Province, as well as parts of Riyadh and Qassim. Active winds raising dust and sand will continue to affect parts of these regions, in addition to areas in the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Madinah, and parts of Najran, leading to near-zero horizontal visibility in some parts of the Makkah region, especially along the coast.

Red Sea and Arabian Gulf marine conditions

The center noted that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–35 km/h over the northern and central parts, reaching up to 45 km/h in the central section. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly at 15–40 km/h, reaching up to 55 km/h with thunderclouds over the southern part.

Wave heights in the Red Sea will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, exceeding two and a half meters in the central part during thunderstorms in the south. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in the central section.

In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly at 15–34 km/h in the north, and southeasterly to northeasterly at 10–23 km/h in the central and southern parts, with wave heights from half a meter to one meter and slight sea conditions.
