Pakistani resident arrested for transporting 10 border violators in Jazan

The General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan Region has announced the arrest of a Pakistani resident who was caught transporting 10 Yemeni nationals in violation of border security regulations. The suspect was apprehended while driving a vehicle carrying the individuals. Authorities confirmed that the driver has been referred to the Public Prosecution, while the border violators were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete legal procedures.

The directorate stated that all those arrested have been detained and legal measures have been taken against them, as part of ongoing security efforts to apprehend violators of residency, labor, and border security laws.

The General Directorate of Mujahideen stressed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides them shelter, or offers any form of assistance or service, faces penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million riyals (SAR). Additionally, vehicles and properties used for transport or shelter will be confiscated, and violators will be publicly named.

The directorate clarified that this offense is considered a major crime warranting detention and is regarded as dishonorable and a breach of trust. It urged the public to report violators of residency, labor, and border security laws by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 or 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. Authorities assured that all reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
