Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Thursday the registration of 28 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 38 recoveries in the Kingdom during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health added in their statement that the number of critical cases reached 48.
"The total number of infections in the country reached 549,618, while the recovery tally reached 538,740," the ministry's statistics showed.
"One new death, bringing fatalities tally in the Kingdom to 8,829," the statement added.
The Ministry of Health advised everyone to contact the toll free (937) for consultations and inquiries around the clock, and to obtain health information and services.
