Saudi Arabia reports 261 New Confirmed Covid-19 Cases, 274 Recoveries

Spokesman Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali attributed the recent surge in coronavirus cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to negative behavior during practicing social gatherings.

In a statement released on Sunday, he said statistics revealed that more than three thirds of the cases since mid January took place after the victims went out of social gatherings either exceeding the number of 50 or committing wrong behavior like not adhering to the prescribed distancing or mask wearing or so.

The statement, released here today said that 261 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been reported, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 368074, including 2,126 active cases undergoing treatment.

Of these, there are 362 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that three new deaths have been reported, putting the tally of fatalities, at 6,375. Meanwhile, as many as 274 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 359,573.
