Saudi Arabia ranks 36th globally in the list of Human Development Index

Saudi Arabia has ranked second among the Arab countries and thirty-sixth globally in the list of Human Development Index (HDI) with very high human development, according to the Human Development Report (HDR) published by the Human Development Report Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for 2019.

The reportstated that the Kingdom advanced and reached 36th, three ranks above theprevious year.

The HumanDevelopment Index aims to measure the level of prosperity being experienced bythe peoples of the world in various fields in order to provide a base thatenables comparisons between the ability of countries and societies to achieveequality, justice and welfare for their peoples.
