With a distinguished pavilion aimed at introducing the Saud scientific and cultural renaissance, Saudi Arabia participates in the 38 edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), which kicked off on October 30 and will run until November 9, and will be held at the Sharjah Expo Center under the slogan "Open a book, open minds".

Dr. Badr Al-Sulaiman, director of university relations at the Saudi Cultural Attaché to the UAE and supervisor of the Saudi pavilion at the SIBF, explained that the Saudi participation in the exhibition, which lasts until November 9, is a step towards strengthening the relationships between the two countries. Particularly in view of the boom Saudi Arabia and the UAE witness in cultural mobility and cognitive progress.

Al-Sulaiman pointed out that the Saudi Pavilion includes 20government bodies represented in some ministries, authorities, universities andpublic libraries, noting that the Saudi Pavilion contains more than 3500 titlesof distinguished publications and books, including 200 recent publications.

Al-Sulaiman pointed out that the Saudi pavilion is a main destination for visitors to the exhibition; it witnessed a high turnout of Emirati and Saudi senior officials, Saudi, Emirati, and Arab authors and writers as well as visitors, who numbered more than 10,000 visitors in the early days of the opening of SIBF exhibition.

Al-Sulaiman praised the local, Arab and international mediacoverage of the Saudi pavilion and its role in highlighting the cultural imageof Saudi Arabia and conveying the great cultural mobility Saudi Arabiawitnesses, by presenting the intellectual, scientific and knowledge production.

Al-Sulaiman drew attention to the fact that the Saudi pavilion atthe SIBF has been continuously monitored by the Minister of Education,Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, pointing out his keen on the importance of activeattendance in the exhibition befitting the cultural and civilized Saudi role.
