Prince Turki Al-Faisal Opens Al-Faisal Exhibition, in London

Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board ofDirectors of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, opened anexhibition under the title of: (Al-Faisal) organized by the Center, on theoccasion of the 100th anniversary of the historic journey of the late KingFaisal bin Abdulaziz, to Europe to attend signing of the Versailles Treaty,here today.

The exhibition was attended by a number of ministers anddiplomats from the United Kingdom and friendly countries, businessmen,media and public figures and a group of academics, researchers, school anduniversity students, as well as Saudi and Arab residents, in England andEurope.

Prince Al-Faisal valued the historical, political,diplomatic, cultural and economic friendship between the Saudi and Britishgovernments and peoples.

Al-Faisal exhibition will last for three weeks, on itsEuropean tour as an appreciation of the good relations between the twocountries.

"This historic visit a hundred years ago by King Faisalachieved great success, and the first diplomatic tour paved the way for hisemergence later as a statesman, who knows the world truly, as it was the bestpreparation for future mutual visits between him and European leaders,"the Prince said, adding that the were also lessons Al-Faisal learned during hisvisit, especially with regard to the importance of education and industry, heapplied it in his vision to modernize the kingdom, which contributed to makinghim one of the most prominent political figures, in the twentieth century, asKing Faisal led the kingdom in a difficult historical stage, and his vision andtireless work for the Kingdom are still a source of inspiration for efforts todevelop the country today.
