No cases of epidemics or quarantine diseases among pilgrims, says Health Ministry

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health confirmed that it has not recorded any cases of epidemics or quarantine diseases among pilgrims and that the health situation is reassuring.

The Ministry said in a statement that it focuses on theprecautionary aspects of pilgrims, and follows developments and changes in theglobal health situation, in cooperation with the World Health Organization andinternational health authorities, such as international disease controlcenters.

The Ministry pointed out that it has taken manyprecautionary measures, including the issuance of mandatory health requirementsfor pilgrims in Hajj season according to global epidemiological variables.

The Ministry also noted that it has provided precautionaryservices to 257,981 pilgrims coming through health outlets since 1/11/1440 AH.The general percentage of the commitment of pilgrims to precautionary vaccinesto date is 87.4%, for Meningitis, 67.3% for yellow fever and 95.3% forpoliomyelitis.
