How to renew domestic workers’ iqama online in five steps via Absher

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has detailed the process for renewing the iqama (residency permit) for domestic workers electronically via the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform, eliminating the need to visit passport offices in person.

According to an announcement on the directorate’s official X account, the service allows beneficiaries to complete the renewal of domestic workers’ iqama online through the Absher Individuals portal.

Steps to renew a domestic worker’s iqama

The service can be accessed and the renewal completed by following these steps:

• Log in to the Absher platform.

• Select the domestic workers section.

• Go to resident services.

• Choose the beneficiary whose iqama you wish to renew.

• Select the iqama renewal service and complete the required steps.

This service is part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts, through the General Directorate of Passports, to expand digital services and make it easier and faster for residents and domestic workers to complete their transactions.
