A member of U.S. Vice President Mike Pence's officehas tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID 19).

Yet neither President Donald Trump nor Pence have had closecontact with the individual, Pence's press secretary Katie Miller said in astatement today.

Miller said Pence's office was notified today evening aboutthe positive test. The statement did not name the individual."Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDCguidelines," she said, referring to the Centers for Disease Control andPrevention.
