UNCCT director lauds Etidal’s role in combating terror

The Secretary-General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal), Dr. Mansour Al-Shammari, met on Tuesday with a delegation from the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT); headed by the Director of UNCCT, Dr. Jehangir Khan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop joint cooperation in preventing and combating terrorism and violent extremism, SPA reported.

Dr. Jahangir Khan also praised Etidal's research work in the areas of combating terrorism; calling for the development of cooperation between Etidal and the UNCCT.

During the visit, the delegation briefed on monitoring and analysis mechanism; the used techniques and models, built and developed within Etidal; as well as the most prominent advanced technologies in this field.
