Saudi Civil Affairs launches digital birth certificate service for foster families via Absher

Saudi Arabia’s Civil Affairs Agency has announced the launch of a service enabling foster families to view digital birth certificates via the Absher platform. The new feature allows both Saudi citizens and residents who are foster families to access and print birth certificates electronically with ease.

According to a statement on the agency’s official X account, the service allows beneficiaries to review the digital birth certificate of a family member under foster care without the need to visit Civil Affairs offices. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance digital services and streamline administrative procedures.

How to access the digital birth certificate for foster families

The Civil Affairs Agency explained that users can access the service by logging into the Absher platform, selecting “My Services,” then “Civil Affairs,” followed by “Birth Certificate Services,” and finally choosing “View Birth Certificate” to display and print the digital certificate.

This service is part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to expand electronic services, promote digital transformation, and provide digital solutions that improve the quality of services for citizens and residents.
