Saudi Press: Riyadh is Capital of Arab women for 2020

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today anumber of issues at local, regional and international arenas.

Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers said that the Kingdom'svision 2030 came to reinforce the positive role of women and give them apositive impetus to participate alongside their male brother in achieving thegoals of the vision that made women a pillar of the process of buildingsociety. The papers said that the meeting of the thirty-ninth session of the ArabWomen Committee, which was held yesterday in Riyadh, choose Saudicapital Riyadh as the capital of Arab women for the year 2020, which reflectedthe practice attention paid by the leadership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towomen.

Al-Bilad newspaper said that the non-peaceful nuclearproliferation represents one of the most serious threats to world peace andhuman safety, especially from non-signatories to the international treaty. Thepaper said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has renewed its firm stancestowards achieving global security and stability and its support forinternational resolutions in this field.
