Saudi HR Ministry: Work in the sun banned from June 15

The regulation comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness to protect the health of the private sector's employees and its commitment to providing a safe working environment; in accordance with occupational health and safety considerations.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced that employers must ensure their workers stay out of the sun between noon and 3 p.m. from June 15 to Sept. 15.

The ministry is seeking to reduce occupational injuries and diseases and protect employees from accidents; which will in turn increase productivity.
