Saudi Education Minister Participates in 2nd Day Events of ICESCO Conference in Egypt

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh has participated in the events of the second day of the 14th session of the General Conference of Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the 2nd Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research under the theme "The Future Vision".

The event was held in the presence of Arab ministers and ambassadors and with the participation of experts and researcher from various scientific, educational and cultural fields from Arab and non-Arab countries.

Today's sessions addressed several issues, the top of which was the challenges of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and virus variants that affected the entire world.

Participants also discussed the role of higher education and scientific research institutions in preparing and training researchers to assume future posts, meet the new market and technological requirements and how to support the educational process, in addition to educational expectations for the post-COVID-19 era.

They also went over means to transfer and localize technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and parallel economy, in addition to digital transformation and beyond "inclusiveness, availability, and sustainability", as well as the importance of space sciences in the sustainable development.
