Saudi-British MoC to help enterprises build leadership competencies

Working to raise the rates of qualitative and distinguished Saudization,the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) signed a memorandum ofcooperation (MoC) with Cranfield Management Development LTD on Sunday toimplement and design a leadership training program for the HRDF Academy,aimed at developing the skills of future leaders of the private sector.

"We look forward to increase the number of young nationals enrolled in the Academy, and to achieve cooperation and integration between the fund and the private sector, to invest together in the human capital that leads enterprises to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, in addition to helping the institutions to build leadership competencies and choose the most suitable for leadership positions, and give the trainees the competencies of team leadership and business leadership, and benefit from global models in leadership development," the Director-General of HRDF, Dr. Mohammad bin Ahmad Al-Sudairy, according to a statement issued by the Fund, seen by (Ajel).

The MoC comes within the framework of HRDF's efforts tocontribute to raising the level of qualitative and distinguished Saudization throughqualifying and training Saudi employees in the private sector to manage andlead enterprises, which will reflect on performance and productivity, and help developingskills and capabilities.

According to the statement, the Academy relies on the transfer ofglobal experiences and the activation of the principles of effective leadershipthrough many study cases and practical projects, the transfer of best practicesglobally, guidance, follow-up, and direct simulation or through virtualclassrooms with distinguished experts globally.

The statement referred that the training is designed to be a12-week integrated development program, comprising five phases, starting withthe nomination, registration, evaluation and selection of applicants, while inthe next phase, the candidate is offered five-day face-to-face training anddistribution of learning application projects. The third phase of the programincludes the return of the trainee to his employer for six weeks to apply whathe has learned in the program, while the trainee, during the fourth and fifthstages, receives five days of direct training, adding to presentation and discussionof projects and graduation ceremony.

Admission requirements at HRDF Academy for leadership includethat the applicant must be a Saudi national, on the job at a private sectorfacility, hold a bachelor's degree, five-year work experience, a minimum of twoyears of supervisory and management experience, and proficiency in English.
