Saudi Arabia's deputy Defense Minister Meets U.S. Special Representative for Iran

Saudi Arabia's Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, met here today with United States Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook to discuss the relations between the two countries, the latest developments and the efforts to counter Iranian hostile activities that threaten the security and stability of the region.

During the meeting, they affirmed the Saudi support for the US decision to impose strict sanctions on Iran for its violations and terrorist acts in the region.

The latest Iranian attacks on the kingdom, including its support of Houthi terrorist militias in Yemen through providing them with drones and missiles to attack sensitive civilian facilities as well as recent attacks on the two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman were also discussed.

The two sides discussed the latest developmentsin Yemen, especially Iran's efforts to spread its terrorism, aggressive acts aswell as its taking of Yemen as its main center for carring out such aggressiveacts.
