The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Madinah responded to 3,762 emergency calls since the beginning of the Umrah season, which began on 25 Shaban 1445 AH.

Out of these calls, 1,746 people received emergency medical care from SRCA's ambulance teams and were then transported to various medical facilities.

SRCA Madinah branch Director General Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani said that most calls were for health issues and others were for traffic accidents.

The SRCA staff and well-equipped ambulances ensured efficient responses to all situations.

During this period, SRCA in Madinah was helped by 1,807 volunteers who contributed 10,638 hours at the Prophet's Mosque and Quba Mosque, he added.

Al-Zahrani said that individuals can request ambulance services by calling 997 or using the "Asefne" app, which enables users to report emergencies, request an ambulance, send distress calls, and track the status of reports.

It also enables ambulance teams to locate the caller's position and access information about nearby medical facilities, emergency contact numbers, and other relief agencies, ensuring timely assistance.
